Reverse Osmosis

Reverse osmosis is a process that forces water through a semi-permeable membrane and filters out inorganic contaminants like metals and nitrates. It lets water, and only water, pass through the membrane and leaves the impurities behind to be flushed away.  Prefiltration, done before the water reaches the reverse osmosis membrane, eliminates larger particles and chlorine, if applicable, that can harm or interfere with the membrane’s filtration performance. Additionally, a post filter processes the water even further and gives it a final polish, eliminating any unpleasant tastes or smells that might remain.

Reverse Osmosis Systems – Kinetico offers two multi-stage systems using reverse osmosis (RO) technology. The K5 Drinking Water Station offers FlexFiltration where a variety of cartridges is available to tailor your system to your individual treatment needs. From cartridges that remove arsenic or volatile organic compounds to ones that will give you biopure water, we have what you need to customize your system now and later, if your water treatment needs should change.
